It has been an absolute privilege for me to serve as your Councilmember and Vice Mayor. Over the past three years, our community has achieved remarkable milestones together. We have built strong relationships, joined forces to combat crime, weathered a pandemic, and united during a significant natural disaster.

One of our proudest accomplishments is the passing of a groundbreaking youth services investment, allocating $2 million to support our young people. Additionally, we have developed a comprehensive plan to address our homeless and unsheltered crisis, ensuring that everyone in our community has access to safe and stable housing. Furthermore, we have successfully secured a historic $3 million for the improvement of our levee and waterways, safeguarding our region's infrastructure.

There is still much work to be done. In order to continue our community's growth and progress, it is crucial that we maintain our collaborative approach and foster collective thinking. By working together, we can tackle the challenges that lie ahead and make our community an even better place to live.
